Job Description

 

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial equipment, including HVAC systems, electrical installations, and mechanical components
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions using technical expertise and appropriate diagnostic tools
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to carry out installations and repairs accurately
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and energy efficiency standards
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve complex technical issues
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Respond to emergency call-outs and perform on-site repairs when required

Qualifications

  • Vocational or technical diploma in a relevant field such as HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in commercial equipment maintenance and repair
  • Proficiency in using various diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and energy efficiency standards in the commercial sector
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., F-Gas certification) are highly desirable
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the local area
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required
