Products Manufactured

Our thermoplastics are available in pre-formed elements or as a powdermix. You can apply them by burning, extrusion or pouring, for both line-markings and figurations.  Safety, durability and ease of use are the three pillars for the development of our thermoplastics. We specialise in quality products with varying degrees of roughness and retro-reflection. Our products remain clearly visible in the dark and offer a safe surface with a minimum risk of skidding in wet conditions.

Preformed thermoplastics are easy-to use road markings.  These are shaped thermoplastics that can be applied direct to surface by heat. We have a product overview with all the common designs and dimensions, but we also deliver custom made designs on a daily basis.

Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) is a product group that is frequently used in (road) markings. It’s a two-part system that hardens quickly. This technology is ideal for markings due to this feature and its extremely high wear resistance. However, because of the short curing time, special marking equipment is required.

Solvent-borne road marking paint is probably one of the first products used for road markings. In the meantime, numerous other technologies have been developed. And yet road marking paint is still useful today in the world of road markings. Of course, standard road marking paint has evolved and still has a few unique properties today. This product provides excellent value for money, has a high level of whiteness, is easy to apply and remains in good condition for a long time.

Our road surface reflector is engineered to provide maximum safety and clarity in both dry and wet weather conditions. It is durable and retains its reflectivity thanks to its wear resistant lens coating. Manufactured from high-quality recycled aluminium, the Allux road surface reflector contains the proven quality of a polycarbonate lens system with micro-prismatic and optical technology. It is available in white, orange, red and green with a single- or double-lens option. Thanks to its unique stabilising pin, it has a long lifespan and is ideal for today’s heavily used roads and motorways.

We manufacture and distributes exceptionally heavy-duty tape for both interior and exterior use. This tape can withstand heavy traffic from both people and vehicles. You can use this adhesive tape either as a temporary or permanent solution. Heavy-duty tape is ideal for floor signage, floor brands and floor advertising where safety, durability and clean removal are important. A perfect application for platforms, shopping centres, trade stands, car parks, sports centres, footbridges and other areas with a very high footfall. In addition, applied media are ideal for visualisation and signage. Examples include mandatory and prohibitory signs in an industrial environment or in car parks and warehouses.

Low Carbon Materials

WJ Products, working with the sustainability team, carried out a massive research project to understand the true carbon footprint of each of our products, based on all raw materials used, the emissions during transport and the energy used in our own factory production.

This undertaking was a significant challenge, it involved creating a list of all the materials and all the suppliers we purchase them from. They were all then approach to see if they could supply the data, and as was often the case they didn’t have it, the team began researching academic papers to ascertain the carbon footprint value of material.

Following this, they then calculated the emissions used in transport from each suppliers’ location and then to each of our plants depending on where the material would go. This had to be worked out from how it was transported to ensure the value was correct. They then calculated the emissions produced from our own factories.

This enabled us to create Cradle to Gate Life Cycle Assessment Model that provides quick, efficient, and reliable at-scale carbon foot printing for all current and future hot applied products. This was then independently verified to PAS 2050:2011 and ISO14067 (2018) by Lucideon, meeting the specifications and standards requirements for quantifying and reporting.

The model found that switching from a hydrocarbon resin binder to a biogenic alternative reduced the average embedded carbon in our materials by 80%, which when calculated against the amount of material we produce means a reduction of 22,000tCO2e in our scope three emissions, or two and a half times our total annual operational footprint.
