Paul joined the industry in 1982 as a studding operative for a Road Marking and Traffic Management company and quickly worked up to becoming a supervisor.
He left in 1988 to cycle around the world and study for a degree. In 1994 he joined Linkline and grew with the company becoming Operations Director and then became MD after the WJ takeover and the retirement of the previous owner.
Paul is the current Chairman of the RSMA, he also chairs the National Highways Sector Scheme 7 Advisory Committee. Paul is a Fellow of the Institute of Highway Engineers, an IEMA Practitioner, Gacso member and HTMA Advocate.
Paul has a very keen interest in sustainability and is currently working on the LoCITY Waste and Construction Working Group looking at reducing emissions in commercial vehicles, he introduced FORS to WJ Group and is a CLOS Champion. Paul recently sat on a National Occupational Standards Committee and led WJ into The 5% Club.
